1 - How can I link my account to my TripIt account?

Follow these steps:

  1. You can either click on the “Users of TripIt” icon on the home page, or login to your BackBid account and click on “Your Account” located on the top of the page, then click on “TripIt” in the menu on the left.
  2. Click on the “Connect to TRIPIT.com” button, you will be asked for your TripIt user name and password if you are not already logged into TripIt.
  3. After logging into TripIt.com you would be asked to give BackBid the permission to access your TripIt account.
  4. After you link your BackBid account with your TripIt account, your BackBid account will be automatically refreshed periodically.

After you link your BackBid account with your TripIt account, your BackBid account will be automatically refreshed as follows:

  • The BackBid system will periodically check your TripIt account for any new trips and modifications to existing trips. This happens 3-4 times per day.
  • Everytime you login to your account on BackBid, the system will automatically import your TripIt trips and modifications at that time.
  • You can also manually force a refresh by clicking on “Your Account” in the top right corner then Click “TripIt” on the left menu then click the “Refresh” button on the bottom of the page.

After you have synched your BackBid account with your TripIt account, you can see your current reservations from TripIt in the "Posts". There would be one post for each valid reservation.

4 - Why do some of my TripIt reservations not appear in my BackBid posts?

It could be that:

  • Your reservation has no hotel name and location in it;
  • Your reservation has no nightly rate in it.
