All you need is a JavaScript enabled web browser, and an active e-mail account.

You start by creating an account in BackBid. Click on the “Login” link in the top right corner of the home page and sign in using your username for available social sites or create a new BackBid account. Another way is to simply click on “Get Started”, post your reservation, and then you will be prompted to create an account to save the post information.

BackBid is mobile-friendly so you can post new reservations and track activity on your existing posted reservations from your web-enabled mobile phone.

Yes. BackBid has hotel partners in many markets and we are consistently adding new hotels to our network. We also provide competitor rates that cover all US cities, so feel free to post your reservations wherever they are!

BackBid can currently be used to book a hotel stay in the United States only. We are working to expand the site to include other countries around the world in the very near future. Stay tuned!

6 - Can I still use BackBid if I haven’t booked a reservation?

Yes, travelers who have not yet booked a room for their upcoming trip can also use BackBid to find the best possible deal on their upcoming hotel stay. When completing the posting process, simply select the "No" button in the "Do you have a reservation?" section.

Once you have confirmed a new hotel reservation via backbid.com, it is your responsibility to cancel your original hotel reservation. Don’t forget to take the cancellation fee (if there is one) into consideration when accepting new bids.

BackBid is a secure website and maintaining your privacy is a priority to us. At no time during the bidding process, will any hotels have access to any of your personal information – including name, email address, etc. Only when you choose to accept a bid, will your information and payment type be required and processed by the hotel that you had chosen, giving them access to your personal information.

No other channel enables hotels to sell their room inventory to consumers that have confirmed booking at a competitor. Hotels view BackBid as a unique opportunity to entice consumers away from their competitors and to unload their distressed inventory. As a result, BackBid travelers can expect aggressive and individualized offers and deals from competing hotels.

By entering your demographic info into your BackBid profile, hotels will have visibility to your travel and hotel preferences. As a result, the bids that you receive will be more personalized and targeted to your travel style and needs.

All prices quoted and all transactions will be processed in U.S. dollars.

The BackBid service is completely free for travelers, there is no charge to have an account and there is no extra fees billed by BackBid when you accept a bid.
