3 - When will I receive new bids?

After you’ve posted, partner and competitor hotels will be able to see your reservation and if they can offer a better rate and/or value, they will submit bids on your business. Some of BackBid users may find that they receive bids immediately after posting, whereas others will only receive bids days before their trip, and yet others may not receive bids at all. If you are in this third group, you can feel confident knowing that you either have a great rate or a room on sold out nights.

4 - Why haven’t I received any bids yet?

There are many reasons why you might not receive bids soon after posting:

  • You have a great rate, and none of the hotels feel they can beat it;
  • It is a particularly busy time at your destination and our hotels are full or close to full;
  • Your arrival date is far away, and the hotels are waiting to have a better idea of how busy they will be.
Remember, often the best deals will happen close to the arrival date when hotels are trying to fill unsold rooms at the last minute.
